LOCAL 47 LOST TWO DEAR COLLEAGUES IN THE LAST WEEK

Our brotherhood of musicians lost two dear colleagues in the last week.

PATRICK MORGAN, a talented and much loved violinist and violist, passed away Monday, July 30th from complications apparently linked to pneumonia.

His funeral service will be Saturday, August 11th at 10:00 AM, at the Harrison Ross Funeral Home located at 6401 S. Crenshaw Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90043.

There will be a reception following the service.

Patrick Morgan graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory with a B.M and recently completed his M.M. at Cal State, Los Angeles. He was a member of Local 47 since 1974 and had a full and varied career working in recording, theater and symphonic music. Just last month, he was seen and heard on the BET network Diana Ross Tribute. He also did work with the LA Phil. Institute, Spoleto Festival Orchestra, and a multi-year run with Phantom of the Opera. He was also a member of SAG and AFTRA

He will be dearly missed.

PAT JOHNSON – 1938-2007

After suffering a debilitating stroke last week, Tommy Johnson’s beloved wife, violinist Patricia Johnson, passed away yesterday (Saturday, July 4th) at 1:40pm PST.

Pat was a wonderful session violinist, devoted teacher, wife, mother and grandmother. Our musical world has lost yet another stellar talent.

We’ll forward more infomation as we get it.
