I.\u00a0 OLYMPIA YOUTH ORCHESTRA AUDITIONS<\/p>\n
Dear Friends & Colleagues:<\/p>\n
It is very important for students to have a good musical education on
\ntop of academics and sports as extra curricular activity during their
\nschool years. The Olympia Youth Orchestra is a high level orchestra
\nwhich only performs original standard repertoire as well as works
\nby contemporary composers. Easy arrangements are seldom included
\nin the concert programs.<\/p>\n
Please kindly spread the word that the Olympia Youth Orchestra will
\nbe holding its annual auditions from now until the end of August.
\nInterested students should go on the website at
\nhttp:\/\/www.olympiaphil.org\/wp\/ and submit the application form
\nunder \u201cyouth orchestra\u201d. Audition requirements are scale and solo
\npiece of student\u2019s own choice plus some sight reading of orchestral
\nexcerpts from the standard repertoire.<\/p>\n
Rehearsals are on Sunday afternoons at CSULA. Annual tuition fee
\nis $650. There are 4 performances each season, 2 on the campus
\nof CSULA and 2 at the historic San Gabriel Mission Playhouse. Non-
\nCSULA students will also have an option of enrolling at CSULA for
\ntransferable college credits of the orchestra class for an additional
\ncharge by the university.<\/p>\n

\nand Kimberly Ford in presenting the Santa Barbara Jazz
\nWorkshop,\u00a0July 11-14, from Tuesday afternoon to Friday night.<\/p>\n
A faculty of Jazz professionals teach instrumental\/vocal master
\nclasses, improvisation, Jazz Listening (How to listen, and who to
\nlisten to.), modern Jazz combo and Big Band playing with concerts
\neach late afternoon (open to the public) where advanced students sit in<\/p>\n
