\nA resolution requiring a balanced budget will be voted on. Please be
\nthere to make the local be more “RESPONSIBLE”.<\/p>\n

I. AFTER ALL…<\/p>\n
After all the questionable tactics and conduct of the local in this
\nreferendum, the Acosta Administration got the votes they wanted,
\nwhich will result in the sale of our only tangible asset, the Local 47
\nbuilding.<\/p>\n
So be it,… BUT THERE’S another shock ahead.<\/p>\n
Now that the building will be sold, they need to form a financial
\ncommittee to decide what to do with the money. <\/p>\n
Luckily, since the money will be in the millions they will be required
\nto hire qualified money managers, but who has John Acosta nominated
\nto be on the three person committee charged with making
\nrecommendations to the board on how to use the money?<\/p>\n
People from the very group that has done so much to destroy our industry:
\n1) Dennis Dreith
\n2) Phil Yao
\n3) Neil Stubenhaus<\/p>\n
All three are current or former leaders of the RMA, and John Acosta
\nis going to let them make suggestions?<\/p>\n
If the Local members allow that to happen and that money is lost
\nthrough incompetence (or the filing of endless lawsuits at the behest
\nof the RMA), know that the membership will be to blame for looking
\nthe other way and not stopping it.<\/p>\n
The very idea of giving former leadership of the RMA undue influence
\nover the use of the money,.. OUR MONEY, considering what they’ve
\ndone to this Local and the Federation is beyond comprehension.\u00a0<\/p>\n

II. SALE COMMENT<\/p>\n

\nHere are two comments sent to me:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nThe org. spent 50K to promote the sale of the building.
\n(probably more)
\nThey printed the ballots.
\nThey sent the ballots.
\nThey collected back the ballots, and offered new ballots
\nto anyone who might have “lost” their ballots- from
\n\\their extra ballot stash – 1 to 2 thousand- they can’t
\nremember which.
\nThey held onto the ballots ” in house”.
\nThey did an “in house” counting by an Election Board
\nwho had no control over the process other than to
\ncount the ballots they received.
\nLow, and behold- they won!
\nThere should have been a third party producing,
\nprocessing and counting the ballots.<\/p>\n
