OUR ELECTION BOARD NEEDS PROTECTION!<\/p>\n
Our Local 47 Election Board has been under attack since our
\nLocal 47 election last month. Why? A contingent of the special interest group that thinks they own OUR Local, and who are allied with the Espinosa Administration, could not stand that David Schubach beat out all their candidates for the most votes in the Delegate Category of the Local 47 Election.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Since then, the Election Board has been coerced, threatened and manipulated, either directly or by inference, by those who contested David\u2019s Election and even by Local 47\u2019s counsel, to overturn David\u2019s election and redo the Election of THAT ONE OFFICE! The special interest folks want this re-voting done after giving the special interest contingent their voting orders, of course. How desperate and childish do you have to be! <\/p>\n
THE ELECTION BOARD HAS PERSEVERED<\/p>\n
The Election board has persevered and told them that there are NO extenuating circumstances that warrant David\u2019s removal and have certified that David Schubach is a Delegate to the Convention. <\/p>\n
PLEASE CALL THE LOCAL NOW! CALL PRESIDENT ESPINOSA\u2019S OFFICE, AND\/OR THE SECRETARY\u2019S OFFICE AND TELL THEM AND THE COUNSEL TO LEAVE THE ELECTION BOARD ALONE! TELL THEM TO HAVE THEIR ALLIES BACK OFF AND STOP HARRASSING and THREATENING OUR ELECTION BOARD! Whether they like it or not, David Schubach won his Delegate slot fair and square, and the membership spoke loud and clear.<\/p>\n

Further, we ask that you write a letter to the Editor of the OVERTURE and ask that it be printed. If they refuse, let us know and we\u2019ll give you the pertinent Chapter and Verse from our Bylaws spelling out your rights, and what they CANNOT refuse to print. <\/p>\n

WE, THE COMMITTEE, VOW TO YOU that if the special interest group contingent and whoever from the Local is working with them to reverse the will of the membership does not cease and desist, we will go to the LA TIMES, the Department of Labor, the National AFM and any other outlet we can find to tell the world what has been going on at OUR Local and make sure action is taken and remedies sought.<\/p>\n
They need to admit that the Espinosa Administration did not win every seat and that\u2019s the way it\u2019s going to be.<\/p>\n
We have a FAR more detailed report on what and who has been pulling what down at the Local concerning this and other actions.<\/p>\n
They can let it go or they can get ready for lots of sunlight. The choice is theirs.<\/p>\n
